KARI MULLEN

OWNER / DIRECTOR / PERSONAL TRAINER / CROSSFIT COACH

Kari lives in Westminster, Colorado with her husband and their three kids.  Her family keeps busy with training, hiking, biking, stand-up paddle boarding, traveling, skiing, crossfit, cooking and gardening. Kari has been personal and small group training for 8 years and is currently an owner and director at Impact Fitness. Kari has always been an outdoor and fitness enthusiast. She was a competitive swimmer and runner through high school and college and has since competed and placed in many triathlons and endurance biking and running events.  Kari realized that as a triathlete,  she had a lot of endurance and stamina but was lacking in some key pieces of fitness. In April of 2017, Kari started CrossFit in order to improve her power, speed,  strength, agility and coordination. She fell in love with the CrossFit community within Impact and enjoyed her improvements and gains and  how much these components helped her triathlons.  It is Kari’s mission to help clients  gain strength, flexibility, mobility, and endurance so they are ready and able to compete, play, parent and keep up with life's busy schedules. She specializes in personal and small group training, weight loss, high intensity circuit training, strength training, and general fitness. She is dedicated to energizing, empowering and equipping clients and members for all of their passions and adventures. Kari absolutely loves people and she is all about creating a positive and motivating community that you can call your third home here at Impact!

JANAY SIMMONS

CROSSFIT COACH / MAT PILATES COACH

Janay began her health and wellness journey in 2015 falling in love with programs such as, Hot Pilates, Boxing, Kickboxing and Muay Thai. This lifestyle motivated her to then get into nutrition, later receiving her certification as a Holistic Nutritionist from the Energetic Health Institute in February 2020. After preschool teaching for five years she realized her passion really lies within the fitness and wellness field and is now pursuing a certification in Hot Pilates, as well as CrossFit. Janay fell in love with the community of CrossFit and the mental and physical progress and improvements. She loves sharing this passion with others and helping others to reach their goals.

DAN SHERWOOD

CROSSFIT COACH / WEIGHTLIFTING COACH

Dan lives in Littleton and has been developing his fitness education since high school. Dan is an avid outdoorsman and has played nearly every team sport at a competitive level. He first got his start with coaching and training after joining CrossFit Forest in Southern California, where he developed a love and passion for helping others to pursue their fitness goals. After 2 years of training, Dan attended and passed his CrossFit Level 1 certificate course, and shortly after began coach’s training at his box in Southern CA. After developing cueing, assessment, and class management skills, Dan began to run the Beginner’s Camp program, eventually moving on to coach all class levels on a regular basis. Dan plans to continue his fitness education by completing the CrossFit L2 course, as well as attend multiple athlete seminars.

Kris is an avid fitness junkie and stumbled upon the sport of Crossfit in 2014.  After spending so much time at the “box” he decided to get his L1 to help others achieve their fitness goals.  Looking to improve his coaching and fitness knowledge he received certification as a Certified Functional Strength Coach 2020.

 

In addition to his coaching duties, Kris is owner/operator of The UnBiased Advisor financial advisory firm and CEO of Portfoliodesigner.com.  In his free time, he loves hanging out with his girls and studying human psychology.  He is a recent transplant from Indianapolis, IN, and is excited to start a new chapter in Colorado.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Emily has lived in 6 different states, but is proud to call Colorado home since moving here with her husband and three children in 2017. Emily has always enjoyed being active and exercising, but discovered CrossFit in 2019 and never looked back to her old fitness routines. Emily fell in love with CrossFit because of the challenging and effective workouts, but also because of the incredible community she has found within CrossFit. She is passionate about CrossFit’s methodology and feels strongly that movement is medicine and that the benefits of CrossFit extend well beyond the hour of the day spent training in the box. She is excited to share this passion with others.

 

A former elementary school teacher, Emily is thrilled to combine her passion for fitness and a health with her love of working with young kids as a CrossFit Kids coach. If Emily isn’t working out at Coal Creek, chances are she is spending time with her family, petting her dog Steve, or day dreaming about being on a beach.

NATHALIE FLORES

PERSONAL TRAINER

Nathalie is from Venezuela and came to the United States in 2021 to  continue pursuing her dream of being a CrossFit coach and personal trainer. She moved from Georgia to Colorado in September of 2022 to start working with us!

She was a gymnastics competitor as a kid, then she started to practice and also compete in Karate when she was a teenager. In college, she took up CrossFit as a hobby, but in just a few months, it became everything for her and she ended  up being a full- time CrossFit coach and competitor. Within the years, she has worked as a strength and skills coach for top level athletes, and she has gained so much experience and knowledge working with elite trainers in different areas.  Now she’s ready to share everything with us and grow together.

ANDREA RENDON

Originally from Colombia, Andrea found her first Crossfit gym when she came to the United States in 2011. Coming from a background in a variety of sports (Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Underwater Rugby), she was looking for something fun but that would keep her healthy, active, and competitive. After a short time, Andrea realized Crossfit offered so many challenges in different aspects of fitness that it was exactly what she had been looking for.  This realization opened the door for a new found passion of helping others through fitness. For the past 7 years Andrea has worked as a Crossfit and Nutrition coach, both with group classes and tailoring programs to individuals who have more specific goals. The enjoyment she has helping people improve and reach their goals is just as exciting as reaching her  own.


When not in the gym Andrea spends most of her time in the water playing and competing in Underwater Rugby and Underwater Hockey.

PAT OYSTON

CROSSFIT COACH

Coach Pat has been doing CrossFit since 2021 and coaching~ since 2022. He played many sports growing up, but mainly focused on swimming where he went on to compete at the collegiate level. Post swimming career, Pat played numerous recreational sports including disc golf, ultimate frisbee, mountain biking and skiing. Pat found CrossFit after a knee injury. He saw CrossFit as a way to get back to his active lifestyle and immediately fell in love with the methodology and sport.
Coach Pat finds that teaching others is the best way for himself to learn and improve upon his own skills and abilities. This love for teaching others is what led Coach Pat to obtain his CrossFit L1 only 8 months into his CrossFit journey. Now that he has obtained his L3, his next goal is to acquire his L4 before the age of 30.
As a coach, Pat hopes to create change in an athlete's skills and abilities. He wants everyone to walk into a gym filled with good vibes and good times and for them to leave feeling they were challenged for that day.

Originally from Chicagoland) Colorado's become my playground, and I'm loving it with my amazing wife by my side. CrossFit's been a game-changer since 2018, helping me shed 30+ lbs and boost my physical and mental well-being. Now, I'm passionate about sharing that same transformative power!

A natural competitor, I thrive on the challenges CrossFit throws my way. When I'm not selling at my full time job, coaching you, or crushing workouts, you'll find me exploring Colorado on mountain trails (bike or board!), soaking up the outdoors.

Though new to coaching, I've been deeply immersed in the CrossFit world for several years. I'm excited to use my knowledge to push you further, both inside and outside the gym. Let's unlock your full potential together!
